The Land

Terra di Vento is part of the district of Macchia Morese, an outgrowth of the Agrarian Reform of the late 1970s, issued for the purpose of liberating its undeclared productive potential. We are located inside the confines of the Picentini Regional Park. The ancient city of Picentia was founded by the Etruscans and was also the southernmost point of their expansion. Our land was populated by the Piceni peoples, a population deported en masse by the Romans in the 3rd century A.D.

Picentini lands are privileged not only due to their distinctive features but also because of their splendid location. At the northern end lies the Amalfi Coast while to the south lies the Paestum Archaeological Area, Cilento National Park and the Valley of Diano with its blue flag beaches.

Terra di Vento is surrounded by unparalleled beauty, all a short distance away: Monti Picentini Regional Park, the Paestum Temples and the Amalfi Coast.
